Parameter Setting for PANASONIC MINAS A5 Servo Drive

    Pr5.28

    • Name: LED initial status

    • Value: 6

    • Description: Monitor if the number of sent and received pulse is correct by setting this parameter.

In Weihong control system, the correct quantity of pulse sent by control card is detected by pulse inspection in order to determine whether there is electrical interference.

    Pr0.01

    • Name: Select control mode

    • Value: 0

    • Description:

      • 0: position mode

      • 1: velocity mode

      • 2: torque mode

    Pr0.05

    • Name: Selection of command pulse input

    • Value: XX

    • Description:

      • 0: Photo-coupler input (PULS1, PULS2, SIGN1, SIGN2)

      • 1: Exclusive input for linear drive (PULSH1, PULSH2, SIGNH1, SIGNH2)

Note: In general, this parameter is set to 1.

    Pr0.07

    • Name: Command pulse input mode setup

    • Value: 3

    • Description: Set command pulse input mode: pulse + direction, negative logic.

    Pr0.08

    • Name: Command pulse counts per one motor revolution

    • Value: 0

    • Typical value: When pitch=5 mm, encoder resolution=10000, this parameter is set to 5000.

    • Description:

      Value:

      • 0: parameters Pr0.09 and Pr0.10 are valid.

      • Other values: It is calculated according to the following formula:

Command pulse No. per motor circle = Screw pitch / (Pulse equivalent * Mechanical deceleration ratio)

The relationship among parameters Pr0.08, Pr0.09 and Pr0.10:

      • Without the influence of setting values of Pr0.09 and Pr0.10, the process is undergone in terms of the setting value of Pr0.08 (1 ~ 2^20):

Command Pulse Input → Encoder Resolution / Setting Value of **Pr0.08** → Position Command

      • When parameters Pr0.08 and Pr0.09 are both set to 0, the process is undergone in terms of the setting value of Pr0.10 (1 ~ 2^30):

Command Pulse Input → Encoder Resolution / Setting Value of **Pr0.10** → Position Command

      • When parameters Pr0.08 is 0 and Pr0.09 is not 0, the process is undergone in terms of the setting value of Pr0.09 and Pr0.10 (1 ~ 2^30):

Command Pulse Input → Setting Value of **Pr0.09** / Setting Value of **Pr0.10** → Position Command

    Pr0.09 and Pr0.10

    • Name: 1st numerator of command pulse frequency multiplication / Denominator of command pulse frequency multiplication

    • Range: 0 ~ 2^30

    • Value: To be calculated

    • Typical value: pitch 5 mm, encoder resolution 10000, shaft coupling direct drag, pulse equivalent 0.001 mm: Pr0.09=10000; Pr0.10=pitch 5 mm/ pulse equivalent; 0.001 mm=5000; Pr0.09/Pr0.10=10000/5000=2/1

    Pr0.11

    • Name: Output pulse No. per one motor revolution

    • Range: 1 ~ 262144

    • Value: 2500. Its concrete value is decided by PG divider ratio.

    • Typical value: When pulse equivalent is 0.001, pitch 10 mm, without reducer, this parameter is set to 2500; when pitch 5mm, it is set to 1250.
