Control the Focus

It is used to automatically adjust the focus during cutting, make sure the machining quality, and meet demands on different focus for different material.

During machining, you can click , and set focus parameters like Cut Focus, Punch Focus, etc. in Layer Setting dialog box to control focus.

To control the focus, do the following:

1. In the menu bar, click System → System Parameters, find parameter Enable Focus Control and set it to Yes.

2. To open Focus Control dialog box, do one of the following:

   • In the common toolbar, click FocusControl.

   • In the menu bar, click Advanced → Focus Control.

   

3. Check Parameter Setting, and set the following parameters:

   • Locate speed: the speed during locating focus.

   • Jog speed: the jog speed to adjust focus with button + or -.

   • Focus offset: the distance between the origin and the focus after returning to the machine origin.

4. To control the machine tool, click the following buttons:

   • + / -: to adjust the position of focus at jog speed.
   • Locate: to locate to the focus position at locating speed.
   • To Origin: W-axis returns to the machine origin.
   • Stop: W-axis stops moving.
