Customize logo images in Weihong NK200 series control system

This document gives step-by-step instructions to replace default logo images that are shown during startup with custom logo images.

This document is applicable to following products:

  • NK200
  • NK260
  • NK280
  • NK280B

The following takes NK260 for an example, for your information.

During the startup process of NK260, two types of logo images will be shown in order.

  • System logo image, which is the first image shown after NK260 is powered up. The system logo will last for about 8 seconds before going to the next.

    System logo image in both Chinese and English operating system are the same. The default system logo image is shown as below:

  • Software logo image, which is the second image shown after the system logo image, for about 10 seconds.

    The default English version of software logo image is as below:

Requirements of custom logo images

Both system logo image and software logo images can be replaced by custom logo images. Custom logo images should conform to requirements including naming rule and dimension, etc.

Requirements of system logo image

A custom system logo image should meet following requirements:

  • File format: .bmp
  • Bit depth: 24 bits
  • Naming rule: NK260_LOGO_R1.0.0.bmp
  • Dimension: 800*600 (Width*Height), with unit of pixel

Requirements of software logo image

Custom software logo images should meet following requirements:

  • File format: .bmp
  • Bit depth: 24 bits
  • Naming rule for Chinese version: WEIHONG_CHN.bmp
  • Naming rule for English version: WEIHONG_ENG.bmp
  • Dimension: 800*600 (Width*Height), with unit of pixel

Update logo images

Replace system logo image with custom image

Before you start

Prepare following tools:

  • U flash disk
  • System logo image as required, which is saved under root directory of the flash disk.

Step-by-step

  1. Save the system logo image that is formatted NK260_LOGO_R1.0.0.bmp under the root directory of the flash disk, and insert the flash disk into USB interface of the NK260 host.

  2. Power up the NK260 host. At the same time, repeatedly press key M until EBOOT interface shows.

  3. Do as screen tips. Press G to update the system logo image.

The system will automatically read the latest version of system logo image from the flash disk. Next, press Y to confirm the custom system logo image.

Custom system logo image will be shown next time you launch the system.

Replace software logo images with custom images

Before you start

Prepare following tools:

  • Pack/Unpack tool: NK200PackTool_V1.2.exe
  • Software logo images as required
  • NK260 installation package: .weihong

Step-by-step

  1. Use Pack/Unpack tool (NK200PackTool_V1.2.exe) to unpack the installation package, as follows:

  2. Go to file folder Font\Resources under the root directory of unpacked resources. Replace the default software logo images with custom ones, as follows:

  3. Use Pack/Unpack tool (NK200PackTool_V1.2.exe) to pack whole resources. A new installation package that is formatted with .weihong will be generated.

Install the newly-generated package. Custom software logo images will be shown.
