EX36A Terminal Board

Safety Precautions
Before using the terminal board, please pay much attention to the following:
This terminal board is used for extending output ports. Do not touch any internal circuit or components when you power up the terminal board.
Internal circuit of the terminal board consists of CMOS IC that can be destroyed by static electricity. Therefore, do not touch any circuit board before you take any preventive actions.
The terminal board is a type of fine instruments. Do not discharge any components by yourself.
Make sure surrounding environment is safe and clean, to avoid any possible damage from iron dust, wire, water, corrosive gas, or corrosive liquid.
Ambient temperature: -40°C~85°C; Ambient humidity: 0%~90%, no freezing and condensation.
The terminal board must be safely grounded, to avoid thunder shock or electrical leak.
Space of over 50mm in each side must be secured to ensure good ventilation or heat dissipation. Recommended operating temperature: 0°C~55°C.
Rated power for the terminal board should be within range of 24V±10%. Use a power regulator in case of instable power supply.
Before connecting or disconnecting with the terminal board, make sure the power is off, to avoid electrical shock to the personnel or damage to the terminal board.
When installing or wiring the terminal board, make sure the position of each terminal to avoid possible damage from wrong connection.
Product Introduction
WEIHONG EX35A terminal board is a extension board for Lambda series terminal boards. It adopts modular design in appearance, which makes it easy to install. It has the following features:
Supports two groups of interfaces for 24V power supply:
- Group A: +24V_A,COM_A
- Group B: +24V_B,COM_B
Supports 32 output ports at most.
For each output, supports 24V/3A in voltage/current.
Supports cascading connection of other extension boards.

System Running Indicator
See the following for flashing frequency of SYSTEM LED indicator in the terminal board, by which you can know communication status of the terminal board.

Wiring Precautions
For wiring and electrical connection, please pay much attention to the following:
- Use 24V DC power supply with safety certification and self-protection function, to avoid possible damage from wrong wiring.
- For wire that is made for power supply or output port terminals, make sure the terminal is well stannum-plated.
- Use WEIHONG DB9 cable to ensure communication stability .
- Length of the earthing cable should depend on technical requirements of the electrical device. Generally, the shorter, the better.
- The earthing cable for the terminal board must be separate with earthing cables for device with high current load, for example, electric welding machine, or motor.
- In case that 24V DC power only supplies power for one 24V_A, maximum output current for Y00~Y15 is 15A; in case that 24V DC power supplies power for two 24V_A, maximum output current for Y00~Y15 can be greater than 15A.
- In case that 24V DC power only supplies power for one 24V_B, maximum output current for Y16~Y31 is 15A; in case that 24V DC power supplies power for two 24V_B, maximum output current for Y16~Y31 can be greater than 15A.
